With the increasing use of Computer Technology on farms, including the use of the small hand held PDA devices (Personal Digital Assistants), TGM Software Solutions urges you to avail of this new funding measure under AXIS 1 of the Rural Development Program, expected to open early in 2009. In response to this, TGM Software Solutions is offering any interested parties a FREE TRIAL of Kingswood systems from now until the application process officially opens. N.B. Funding is also available for Sheep and Cattle Electronic Tagging Systems (Readers and Software), and can be supplied by TGM. (If you’re not registered with APHIS, then we can even help you do this!). 2. If you have a dairy herd and are milk recording all current cow data held by United or NMR, freeze brands, lactation numbers, historical milk data, pedigree names etc, will be imported into the system, so the system will be ready to use straight out of the box. 3. All systems will be supplied with a Palm PDA and associated software. 4. At the end of the trial, users can either purchase the system, or return it. (As it says above, this really is a no obligation trial!)N.B. A small security deposit is required against accidental damage of the PDA during the trial period. ATTENTION SHEEP FARMERS!! New European laws set to be introduced in January 2010 mean that all sheep in the UK not being slaughtered before the age of 12 months must be electronically identified. This legal requirement will no doubt be expensive to implement, but funding (at 40%) will be available under the farm modernisation scheme, and TGM can supply both the software and readers that will assist you with implementing this planned animal identification change on farm.
