The big question is why...?
Why use an EID reader at all when there are no regulations requiring an
individual farmer to record EID numbers?
It's not possible to list all the possible benefits in a single web page, but a few are listed below.
- EID allows for individual management recording of sheep
- That means you can easily record birth information such as number of
lambs etc.
- Lamb weights can easily be recorded
- Since the lambs are linked by the EID reader to their mothers at
birth, the total weaned weight of the lambs ends up in our PC software.
